Serial #40631 Caliber 30-06, manufactured 1903. Blue finished with round barrel and factory sporting blade front sight with rear sight seat having factory blank. Mounted with varnished straight grained American walnut butt stock with crescent butt plate and sporting forearm with Schnabel tip. Period Winchester factory barrel markings with cal, 30-06 chamber marking. Fitted with period Winchester A-5 scope on Winchester mounts. This rifle is believed to have been sent back to the factory, rebarreled and had scope mounted at factory. It is extremely rare to find Winchester centerfire rifles with factory optics. CONDITION, Very good with most factory applied blue finish remaining. Action operates properly and optics are fine. Wood stocks are full sized and retain most all period factory varnish. C&R
