Having been part of the collection of lot #239, this incredible 1860's Chiricahua Apache knife and sheath came from the personal collection of Carl Moon, and were used in his work, as displayed in the photograph titled " Home From the Hunt", that shows both the bow case and this sheath, and is later highlighted in the renown book "In Search of the Wild Indian" by Tom Driebe. An amazing documented piece of our Native American history in numerous aspects. On its own, this sheath is a pheonominal peice, measuring 12 inches in length, showing incredible eye appeal with bright color, fringe, and knife. Showing beautiful patina and condition.
